Fury warrior guide Empty
PostSubject: Fury warrior guide   Fury warrior guide Icon_minitimeFri Dec 21, 2012 6:55 am

First of all, i'm not the best fury warrior in the guild at
all. though since i see quite allot of people play fury i thought this might be
of good use.

1. Spec/talents
http://wowtal.com/#k=G3m6Jdu4B.bqj.warrior.RDBLA5
that's simply what i use, the glyphs included.
It gives nice healing from bloodthirst and does good damage.
I've seen players that use incite of the defense tree but imo heroic strike is
just a rage dumper.

2. Glyphs

Prime:
Glyph of Bloodthirst
Glyph of Slam
Glyph of Raging blow

Major:
Glyph of Colossus smash
Glyph of Intercept
Glyph of Death wish

Minor:
Glyph of Bloody healing
Glyph of Berserker rage
Glyph of Enduring victory/Glyph of Battle

This is what i use and recommend, if you really like playing battlegrounds you can use
the Glyph of Victory Rush but imo Victory rush heals enough how it is.
Also i've seen players use Glyph of Cleaving wich imo is a total waste, as a fury warrior you're specialized in bursting down one enemy at a time.

3. Gear/gems

Gear
Hit 5%>Str>Mastery/Crit

Hit: speaks for itself, 5% is the pvp cap so all your special abilities will
hit
Str: higher strength = more dmg, speaks for itself
Mastery: ups your enraged abilities and abilities that cause your enrages (including your heal)
Crit: speaks for itself
it's kinda personal preference, i use mastery cause 90% of the players you'll
come across don't know they can dispell your enrages.

Gems
Yellow: Either 20str 20crit or 20str 20mastery (depends on what you like more)
Red: either put another 20str 20crit/20str 20mastery or if your jewelcrafter
for the +67 str gem
Blue: if you have trouble with the hit cap a 20str 20hit gem, if not you can
choose str/crit/mas with stamina
Meta: +54 Strength and 3% increased critical effect

3. Keybindings
I HIGHLY recommend to bind your abilities on your keyboard, having to click
everything will make you slow and worthless.
The following setup is what i use:
Q - Heroic Strike
E - Bloodthirst
R - Whirlwind
F - Colossus Smash
G - Disarm
C - Pummel
X - Fear
Z - PVP trinket
Tab - Burst macro
Shift+Q - Victory Rush
Shift+E - Heroic Fury
Shift+F - Spell Reflect
Shift+4 - Battle Shout
Ctrl+Mb4 - Heroic Throw
Shift+Mb4 - Demoralizing Shout
Shift+Mb5 - Cleave
1 - Piercing Howl
2 - Execute
3 - Raging Blow
4 - Slam
5 - Shadowmeld (racial)
Mb3 - Enraged Regeneration
Mb4 - Berserker Rage
Mb5 - Intercept
Mb are mouse buttons, i'm using a razer deathadder so the Mb5 is the front
button

personally i recommend you not to follow this list, it's merely what i'm used
to

Macro's

#showtooltip Disarm
/cast Defensive stance
/cast Disarm

#showtooltip Spell Reflection
/cast [stance/3, nomodifier]Defensive Stance
/cast [modifier] Berserker Stance
/equip [modifier] ; [YOUR1H]
/equip [nomodifier] [YOURSHIELD]
/cast [nomodifier] Spell Reflection#showtooltip intercept
/cast berserker stance
/equipslot 16 [YOUR2H]
/equipslot 17 [YOUR2H]
/cast intercept

why i have an intercept macro?, cause if you use spell reflect you'll end up in
defensive stance

#showtooltip Recklessness
/cast recklessness
/cast death wish
/cast berserker rage
/cast demoralizing shout
/cast inner rage
/use bloodthirsty Gladiator's Badge of Victory

Abilities and how to use them
This is where all of it comes together, you're almost ready to go in to
battle and kill some hordes.
There isn't a real rotation for warriors since it mostly is adapting to what
your enemy is doing and will do, but here's my best try
i open up with battle shout followed by an intercept, right after that i use
bloodthirst, colossus smash and wait for slam or raging blow to proc, if
everything is on cd i use either whirlwind or heroic strike to keep up the
pressure.

If your hp is going down fast, pop berserker rage and enraged regen.
I hear quite often that warriors can't do anything vs ranged casters (locks, priests and mages especially).
I personally like to duel locks and s-priests allot, i remember a shadow priest blaming me from hacking cause he couldnt hit me with anything.
Simply what i did was either spell reflect or interrupt his spells.
Against locks it's quite the same, learn to predict what they're going to use so you can spell reflect there fears and interrupt there damage dealers.
Mages on the other hand are a pain, since they have more CC as you have gap closers you have to play it really smart.
When dueling i mostly try to stick close to a mage from the start, put pressure on him with deep wounds and colossus smash so his shields will go down.
You kinda want him to pop his blink and his main CCs (pet freeze, CoC, Frost Nova before you intercept and start doing some serious dmg.
If he starts off with a polymorph make sure you reflect it, he'll get it back on himself and you have a lovely little sheep waiting to be raped.
Whenever the mage is on low health and he's going to evocate make it stop, just don't let him get back to 50-60% health cause you're dead when it happens.
Spell reflect really is an important ability when fighting casters, when you're vs a mage both on low health he'll probably try to cc you and put a final shatter off.
And believe me, he'll be ashamed when he sees his own frostbolt blow him

If you have any questions whisper me ingame
